Family Reunion at a Beachside Air BnB

About a month ago now, I was approached by Katie from all the way out in Colorado, who wanted some family beach portraits. For those of you reading this who may not know, I'm located in a small beachside town in Vero Beach, Florida. It's always exciting for me to hear from potential clients, but it's even more exciting when they're from out of town. It's interesting for me to hear their story and how they end up in my small city. Well, in this case, Katie and her family were also planning on meeting her brother and his family, along with their parents here in Vero Beach. Her brother's family came into town from Illinois and their parents from South Carolina. There is actually a surprise to this photo shoot. As you can see, Katie and her family were not only visiting for vacation, but a family reunion! There was also a very special occasion that Katie brought her family to Florida together for. They were also celebrating their parents 50th wedding anniversary! To celebrate the event, Katie and her family had planned to stay here by the beach for a few days while also visiting the theme parks for a few days as well. Oh, and I can't forget to mention a beautiful family portrait photoshoot at the beach!

My photo shoot with Katie and her family was actually one of the largest family portraits that I have photographed so far. (I tend to photograph a lot of couples and headshot portraits.) I had a lot of fun on my photo shoot with Katie and her family. Katie and her husband had two kids while her brother and his wife had three kids.

For the family portraits we met up for sunrise at their Air BnB. It was a beautiful beachside property with private beach access. We walked out to the beach where the ocean was beautiful and calm with a light early morning fog over the water. For the pictures we were able to get some images with the whole family and then pictures of the individual families. We also captured some special photos with the kids and the happy couple celebrating their anniversary. There were a few specific photos that mom and dad wanted, so of course I got those as well. All in all, I believe we were finished with the photoshoot in about an hour or so.

Once again, congratulations to John and Susan on their 50th wedding anniversary! Enjoy these images from our photo shoot together!
